*HARI PRAMUKA BUKAN PERINGATAN ULANG TAHUN GERAKAN PRAMUKA*
Setiap tanggal 14 Agustus kita memperingati hari Pramuka.
Akhir-akhir ini sering kita memaknai sebagai peringatan ulang tahun Gerakan Pramuka.
Padahal Hari Pramuka bukanlah perayaan hari jadi Gerakan Pramuka.
Hari Pramuka adalah peringatan detik-detik negara menugaskan kepada Gerakan Pramuka untuk berjuang menjayakan bangsa dan Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia.
Hal ini ditandai dengan penyerahan *Panji Gerakan Pramuka* oleh Presiden selaku kepala negara kepada Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono IX sebagai wakil dari Gerakan Pramuka.
*Panji* ini bukan karangan Gerakan Pramuka tapi betul-betul kehendak Negara, berdasar Keppres RI no. 448 tahun 1961. Tanggal 14 Agustus 1961.
Itulah sebabnya kenapa rangkaian Hari Pramuka selalu diawali dengan ulang janji setiap tgl 13 Agustus malam dan dikeluarkannya *Panji Gerakan Pramuka* dihadapan Presiden RI sebagai pemberi tugas dan seluruh warga Gerakan Pramuka sebagai pelaksana tugas.
Tugasnya adalah berjuang menjayakan Bangsa dan NKRI di masa yang akan datang.
Jadi dikeluarkannya *Panji* bukanlah kegiatan tambahan di upacara tapi *inti dari seluruh rangkaian peringatan Hari Pramuka.*
Sebagai pengingat penyelenggara negara dan Gerakan Pramuka akan amanah yg dituangkan dalam Keppres tersebut diatas.
Karena peringatan Hari Pramuka bukanlah perayaan ulang tahun Gerakan Pramuka.
